Constitution House of Isfahan

Mashruteh House was the house of Noor Allah Najafi Isfahani, the political figure who led people of Isfahan during the constitutional revolution, in the early 20th century. About a hundred years ago, it functioned as a consultation place where religious, cultural, and political activists used to gather to make decisions about the liberal demands of the country. The house has been converted into the Museum of Constitutional revolution, showcasing documents, pictures, and wax figures of the constitutional revolution.

Along with the historical aspect of the house, its architecture is also remarkable. It contains two public spaces (biruni); two private courtyards (andaruni), surrounded by twelve rooms in four sides and two Shahneshin rooms (main rooms of the house), in the north and south of the house. The striking feature of the house is the seven-part sash window (haft dari) decorated with intricate stained glasses on both inner and outer sides. Along with imparting beauty indoors, these stained glasses subtilize the flow of sun light to the hall, creating a pleasant area for living. The hall is decorated with exquisite Qajarid decorations including stucco works and paintings.
